Activity First Aid

A two-day Level 2 course for people who lead activities outdoors or away from immediate help.

Activity First Aid is designed for coaches, instructors and leaders who look after people during sport and outdoor activities, where help may take longer to arrive.

What the course covers

  • Managing incidents in outdoor and remote settings
  • CPR, AED use and the unresponsive casualty
  • Fractures, sprains and head injuries
  • Hypothermia, heat illness, asthma and anaphylaxis

Assessment and certification

Continuous practical assessment by your trainer plus written papers.

What you'll be able to do

  • Manage casualties where help is delayed
  • Treat sport and outdoor injuries
  • Deal with environmental emergencies
