Basic Life Support (BLS)

A focused half-day session on CPR, airway management and defibrillation for care and clinical staff.

Basic Life Support is designed for health and social care staff, dental teams, care home workers and anyone who needs annual resuscitation training aligned to Resuscitation Council UK guidelines.

What the session covers

  • Recognising cardiac arrest and calling for help
  • High-quality chest compressions and rescue breaths
  • Safe and effective use of an AED
  • Basic airway management and the recovery position
  • Choking in adults and children
  • Infection control and post-incident care

Certification

Attendance certificate issued on completion; renewal recommended annually to remain compliant with CQC and professional body expectations.
